I was invited by Escape Studios to design the actual award for the Escape Awards - the first event of its kind in the UK. The awards ceremony was held at Tate Modern in March 2008 on the day after the latest Supernatural lectures.

Collaborating with fashion photographer Cody Burridge, we produced a ten page editorial for Esquire Magazine. Using antique display cabinets from the V&A Museum as the visual base we created a unique cinematic vision of a futuristic exhibition opening, designing and building the interiors entirely in CG as well as the apparatus inside the cabinets.
The series was subsequently exhibited in the windows of Selfridges to coincide with London Fashion week and to launch Esquire's March fashion issue.

Conceived as a way to explore both the practical challenges associated with sustainable design for future habitation while maintaining a strong aesthetic, the Twist lamp is powered by a kinetic cell and capacitor that feeds energy to the flexible bioluminescent collar within the lamp's shade. To light the lamp, simply hold the lamp by the stem and shake vigorously for a minute or so, this will produce enough energy for about an hour of reading light. There is no need for an external electricity source or regular batteries.
